The fourth edition of the Rothaus Bike Giro Hochschwarzwald from 20th to 23rd of August, 2020 has been finally confirmed. For a long time it seemed uncertain whether the demanding stage race for mountain bikers in the Upper Black Forest would get the green light due to the “Corona” restrictions. “In the meantime, the state of Baden-Württemberg has paved the way with the new regulation at the end of June, and all the partners involved are also on board,” said organisers Kai and Rik Sauser from Sauser Event GmbH, a stone weighing several tons from their hearts. The registration is therefore still open. The starting list remains limited to 500 participants. A hygiene concept prescribed by the politicians is currently being developed. Planning for the established stage race at the end of August is in full swing.
Now the premiere can actually be celebrated. The fourth Rothaus Bike Giro Hochschwarzwald will be given a new coat of paint, as the Black Forest community of Todtnau will be the two-day start and finish location for the first time. The first two stages on 20th and 21st of August start and end on the “Notschrei” of Todtnau. This is followed by Grafenhausen and the Rothaus brewery on 22nd and 23rd of August as the hub of the third and fourth stages. The 500-member field of participants can therefore expect plenty of competition thrills and goose bumps even in the sports year, which has been decelerated worldwide by the pandemic.
